About us
Jodo Mission of Hawaii is a Jodo Shu Buddhist temple located at 1429 Makiki Street in Honolulu, Hawaii. The founder of Jodo Shu Buddhism is Honen Shonin who passed away on January 25, 1212. This temple was built in 1932 under Bishop Sensho Fukuda, the sixth Bishop in Hawaii, and it is known as Betsuin or Headquarters for Jodo Shu Buddhist Temples in Hawaii.
